In today’s economy, most of us find ourselves prone to the convenience of living with roomies, rather than on our own. Whether it’s financial reasoning, or just for companionship, sometimes the room mate situations can interfere with your needs.

Whether it’s your need to be alone, or your “need to be alone”, sometimes having others around that you can’t discuss your sex life with (or lack of it) can take it’s toll. But when you want to have a little fun by yourself, there are some steps you can take to make everyone in the house is comfortable.

Time and time again, one of the biggest tips to a room mate that you are spending time down there is the lack of secrecy. Whether it’s a shared bedroom, lack of hiding places for your toy collection, your room mate is a bit nosey, or maybe you just aren’t being quiet. There are plenty of things that you can do to prevent a situation or discussion even arising about how you spend your private time.

One of the best things you can do is make sure your toys are kept in a safe, yet accessible place. An easy thing to do is keep them inside a studio styled make up box in the bathroom. Make sure that make up box has a lock on it, just to add to the security. Never know when your roomie might need to borrow some last minute blush or lip gloss. Or, if you are in a room alone, find a ledge, or maybe put them underneath a dresser. Never put them in the dresser, because that’s the first place a Nosey Nancy will go if she suspects something!

One of the worst things you can do is break out the toys when it’s rush hour at your house. When your room mates are home, the last thing they want to hear is you having play time. So, just get to know their schedule so you can try your best to work around it when you want to have a hot bubble bath with candles, or maybe have that new guy over for dinner.

If the household runs on the same schedule, you can still work around it. Maybe not so much the steamy, stereotypical romance novel bath, but you can still take the time to yourself before bed. The key to this is being able to stay quiet, behind the wave of sexual excitement. Maybe use a pillow to drown out the noise, or you can even bite on your lip as well. There are a variety of techniques and things around your house you can use to keep it down, it’s just a matter of finding out something that works well for you.

So we covered all the basic details, but sometimes it’s just a little bit fun to have the risk factor. Even while taking all these precautions, it can sometimes be hot knowing that you could get caught in the act. Some people probably think that Keeping “It” A Secret is the most exciting and even rewarding part of self pleasure. While I would have to agree, I will also add that you should remember to lock the door before anything goes down. And if you can’t lock the door, then you should probably look into a few of the steps above to find your loophole into you.
